Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating a Konekta account you agree to these Terms of Service. Konekta is a marketplace app connecting customers with service providers, agents, and businesses across Sierra Leone. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Sellers (Business Owners, Land Agencies, and Service Providers) must also accept the stay-on-platform rules in Section 6 before publishing listings.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information when registering and are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. One person may hold one Konekta account, with any number of workspaces (provider, agent, business) attached to it. You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent/guardian's permission, to use Konekta.
3. Listings, bookings, and conduct
Providers, agents, and businesses are responsible for the accuracy of their own listings and for fulfilling bookings they accept. Customers are responsible for showing up to and paying for bookings they make. Konekta is a platform connecting both sides — it is not a party to the underlying transaction between a customer and a provider, agent, or business, and does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any listing.
4. Trust Score and reviews
Reviews must reflect a real interaction on the platform. Konekta may remove reviews or listings, and may suspend or terminate accounts, that violate these terms, are fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise harmful to other users.
5. Wallet and payments
Wallet balances and transaction history shown in the app reflect activity on the Konekta platform. Escrow holds customer funds until a booking/order is completed. You are responsible for reviewing your transaction history and reporting any discrepancy promptly. Platform commissions and fees are disclosed in the app at the time of payment.
6. Stay on platform — communication and payments
All negotiation, messaging, and payment for deals started on Konekta must happen inside the Konekta app (in-app chat, payment offers, wallet, and escrow). This protects buyers and sellers and allows Konekta to keep a record if something goes wrong.
- Do not move deals to WhatsApp, SMS, phone calls outside the app, or other off-platform channels for the purpose of paying or agreeing payment outside Konekta.
- Do not share personal phone numbers or WhatsApp contacts on public listings or profiles to bypass the app.
- Paying with cash, Orange Money, AfriMoney, or bank transfer outside Konekta escrow / in-app payment flows is at your own risk.
Off-platform deals are not covered. If you communicate or pay outside Konekta, Konekta and its team are not responsible for refunds, disputes, chargebacks, lost goods, no-shows, fraud, or any other loss arising from that off-platform arrangement. We will not mediate or refund those transactions.
Konekta may warn, suspend, or terminate accounts that repeatedly ask others to pay or continue the deal outside the app.
7. Prohibited use
You may not use Konekta to post illegal, fraudulent, or misleading listings, harass other users, attempt to circumvent the platform's booking or payment flow, expose other users' private contact details without permission, or interfere with the app's normal operation (including automated account creation or abuse of any feature).
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Konekta may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, listings, and related data, as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to these terms
Konekta may update these terms as the app evolves. Material updates may require sellers to re-accept before publishing. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
